Sodium petroleum sulfonate is an organic substance, mainly used as textile, printing and dyeing auxiliary and liquid detergent, emulsifier for vinyl chloride polymerization; used as surfactant AS, used as anionic surfactant, and can also be used as detergent, Lubricant, foaming agent; used as an anti-rust additive and emulsifier. It has good anti-rust properties for ferrous metals and brass. It can be used as a co-solvent for various polar substances in oil, and can be combined with other anti-rust additives. It is commonly used as cleaning and anti-rust oil, anti-rust grease and cutting fluid between processes.
Sodium petroleum sulfonate has excellent lubrication properties in machining fluids and can effectively reduce the friction coefficient of machining fluids, improving the lubrication effect. Its lubrication properties have a significant impact on metal cutting efficiency.
During the metal cutting process, the friction between the tool and the workpiece will generate a large amount of heat, causing the tool temperature to rise and affecting the tool life and cutting efficiency. As a lubricant, sodium petroleum sulfonate can reduce the friction between the tool and the workpiece, lower the temperature of the tool to extend the service life of the tool and improve cutting efficiency.
Sodium petroleum sulfonate can also inhibit the formation of built-up edge during the cutting process, avoid scratches and increased roughness on the surface of the workpiece, and help improve the surface quality and machining accuracy of the workpiece.
