Chemical Structure

Sebacic acid has a wide range of uses. It is mainly used to prepare sebacic acid esters. These esters can be used as plasticizers for plastics and cold-resistant rubber. They can also be used to prepare polyamide, polyurethane, alkyd resin, synthetic lubricants, Lubricating oil additives and fragrances, coatings, cosmetics, etc. It can also be used as raw material for the production of nylon 1010, nylon 910, nylon 810, nylon 610, nylon 9 and raw material for high temperature resistant lubricating oil diethylhexyl. It is also a raw material for plasticizers, softeners and solvents in the production of alkyd resins and polyurethane rubbers, cellulose resins, vinyl resins and synthetic rubbers.
The working principle of sebacic acid in cutting fluid:
1. Sebacic acid has good lubricating properties. After being added to the cutting fluid, it can form a lubricating film of a certain thickness to cover the surface of the cutting tool and the workpiece, reducing the friction between the tool and the workpiece and reducing the heat and wear during the cutting process, improving processing efficiency and accuracy.
2. The solubility of sebacic acid in water is small, but it can keep water-soluble additives stably dispersed in the cutting fluid. In addition, it can reduce the surface tension of the cutting fluid, making it easier for the cutting fluid to wet the surface of the workpiece and the cutting edge of the cutting tool, improving lubrication and anti-rust properties.
3. Sebacic acid can form a passivation film with the metal surface to reduce the impact of oxidation or corrosion on the metal surface, improving the anti-rust performance of the cutting fluid.
